Samaria Gorge view - Half Day Tour Details

Our day starts in the morning. I will pick you up and we will have a 1 hour transfer all the way up to the entry of the Samaria gorge! We will have a short time (30mins approx. ) to take same pictures and coffee with same local snacks. Our moderate hiking day starts next to the entry of the Samaria. We will walk under the big windy trees with mountains around us up of 2000 metres hight. After some time we will get to the alpine zone, with less trees but with some snow! After 1 to 1. 30hour, we will get at the magnificent point 1680 m over the sea level: Kallergi Refuge. We will enjoy the mountains and the sea around us with a fantastic view of the Samaria gorge! You will also be able to see both the Cretan and Libyan seas. We will stay for 50 minutes to take some photos, talk and see the rural and pastoral life in Crete! After the break, we will get the road to go back to Chania. Our day ends in Omalos where you can have a nice home made food.
